Sarah Deacle
Sarah came to St. James’ from St. David’s, Manayunk the summer of 2017 when her family moved to Trappe to be closer to her husband’s job at Ursinus College. At St. James’, she has enjoyed teaching the High School class and appreciates the opportunities for her and her children (David, 11 and Elizabeth, 8) to be involved in everything from Sunday school, coffee hour, and Holy Day events to dinner events and Scouting. Sarah has a career background in horticultural education with Cooperative Extension, Longwood Gardens, and various non-profits, but after taking time out when her children were young, is back in school for a degree in physical therapy. She grew up in the United Methodist church, but joined the Episcopal Church after attending college. She is glad to be part of St. James’, and hopes to help it continue to be a welcoming church for all ages.
